The Legend of Dracula's Forest!
In the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania in the Township of Ransom, near Clark's Summit and Scranton, there is a small Village named Milwaukee.
Milwaukee has numerous farms and forest lands and a lot of undiscovered secrets!
Long ago......
Mysterious disappearances started to take place!
This little farm town, where everyone knew not only each other, but they knew about each others' dogs, cats and livestock like they were they're own!
Reports spread throughout the close knit community of animals disappearing in the middle of the night,
without a trace!
One night, in early October, on a farm located at
2828 Rock Drive,
the farmer's son noticed a disturbance in one of the fields! He told his Father that he was going to check it out, but he never returned and was never seen again!
Many years later, a farm hand who accompanied the farmer's son on that fateful night finally spoke of what had happened.....
CREATURES OF THE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
He SCREAMED!!!!!!!
As he pointed to a section of woods on the 200 year old farm, accessible only by wagon
on nearly impassible dirt roads.
For years, no one would venture down the dark and lonely road to explore what lied in the farmhand's words!
Then one October night, about 28 years ago, it startled a group of inquisitive people looking for answers to the Legend that was before them.
The travelers told of a road that was very dark that led to the woods in question.
So the inched closer,
their worst fears and nightmares were upon them!
A wooded area, full of
CREATURES OF THE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!
It was almost like all things that were
evil and scary came to this place!
They spoke of uncontrollable fires and weird noises that they saw and heard in the distance!
It was almost like the worst was yet to come, and it did!
They were attacked time after time
by the demons of the night!
Some were protected by the walls of the wagons, others were not so lucky!
As fast as they could, they continued through the forest only to encounter, a place called by many,
"The Tunnel of Terror"!
It was the only way to get out of those woods, by going through this tunnel!
This place has been referred to, by travelers of the past,
the home of the Prince of Darkness, himself!
Count Dracula!
Scrolled in Blood on the walls is:
Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here!
As they approached, the doors opened, and the travelers entered and all things EVIL became a reality!
Most travelers, who make it past the Tunnel of Terror, seem to have their memories erased and recall nothing of their journey!
Only a handful can recall bits and pieces of what had happened!
I spoke to one of the survivors of this experience and he told me of what he felt and could remember:
This is an extremely scary place!
A place where demons and creatures take up residence for the Halloween Season.
People of this world have been drawn into the unknown and unexpected for centuries.
So this experience is no different to the people who must figure out this Legend for themselves!
Thousands of people wish they had the answer!
Shaken and retreating as far from this place as possible!
His final departing words were:
Be Careful of What You Wish For!
